One major step that individuals can take to reduce the cost of their utilities is to practice the strategy of zone heating. Zone heating is a home heating strategy that focuses on warming the spaces of a home that are in use most often. Like many aspects of energy efficiency it requires consumers to be proactive about reducing their energy use.
